I never thought I would have to count carbs and stick my finger everyday (4 times a day!) to test my glucose.. oh my… but it was SO WORTH IT!! 

The delivery labor of my daughter lasted about 25 hours and everybody kept telling me that the 2nd is faster… so I wasn’t sure if I should be hopeful for a 20 hour labor then? LOL

I went into pre-term labor at 32 weeks and had to take 2 shots to stop my early contractions…At 37 weeks I was so done with the diabetes diet but we didn’t have any signs of David coming 

I tried all the “old wive’s tales” and at 38 weeks and 6 days I went to a Mexican restaurant (La Paz.. ohhh yeahh) to eat spicy spicy food.. I was hopeful the baby would come with that one.  I felt a few contractions but not many on that night.

The next day (39 weeks) I had blood show (which I didn’t have with my daughter) and went to the OB for my regular check up. I was kinda of excited because I heard the baby is usually on his way when you get the blood show… but at my appointment I found out I wasn’t dilated at all.. bummer  That night I started feeling strong contractions but they weren’t consistent… the timing was all over the place but they lasted the WHOLE NIGHT and oh my.. P-A-I-N-F-U-L!!! In the morning I couldn’t handle anymore and went to the hospital. When we got there I found out I was 2-3cm dilated but they wanted to send me home.. ughhhhhh no! To cut the story short I was able to stay there and baby David was born at 9:26pm that night  My little blessing.. so chubby and cute!

The doctor had told me that David would be a small baby and to everybody’s surprise he was a big boy being born at 39 weeks and 1 day…. 8lb and 14oz of chubbiness and 21″ long of cuteness 

I love, love, love Birth Photography… we do work with that too so I decided to post a few samples that Ian took of my labor/baby David’s birth here… ENJOY!

I feel like Marlin (Nemo’s dad..yep.. I watched that many Disney movies..lol) when Nemo first went to school.. I was feeling so anxious the day before! I gave her tons of instructions and repeated them over and over again.

I am so out of my comfort zone having my baby away from me… but I know it is good for her to be away from her momma bear for a few hours. 

Anyway… I still have to post a few samples of the last sessions that Ian photographed

My baby…

Four years ago God blessed me with a very special little miracle… my little princess 

I am so so lucky to be her mom. She is the most caring, sweet and loving kid you will ever meet. I love her so so much and I can hardly believe she is already FOUR. It makes me cry when I think how fast the time is passing.. oh my.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY my little bear.. I love you. 

This picture was taken with a point and shoot camera (not my favorite) but her expression makes me laugh.. it is so her!

Every single day that I spend with her and that I hear her telling me how much she loves me is one more day that I have been blessed by God.

There is no bigger treasure or blessing that I could have asked for. I am truly blessed 

We took her to Disney (again!) to celebrate her birthday a little early… even though she is still having her birthday party. She loved it and it was a nice 4th of July there for all of us!

I have being enjoying the last days of my vacation and that is why I haven’t posted much on my Blog…

Tomorrow I will shoot a newborn session so I am sure I will have a bunch of cute photos to post here… then Wedding season starts and portraits of course 

I haven’t had a chance to photograph my little one as much lately because I am always photographing clients or editing their photos, but when I do photograph her and then look at her photos, I can hardly believe she is already this big!!

We went to Florida and enjoyed our days on beautiful beaches, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens!    My daughter had a blast because she got to meet and take pictures with all the characters from Sesame Street 

Now back to work we go… and with tons of Weddings to come we will keep our Blog busy

She started going to school (for the first time!!) last week and I miss her so much when she is gone… yeah.. I am that type of mom
